Got a problem with an E63 and hoping someone could help me.
First off, I bought this on eBay so returning it isn't an option!
Okay, the problem is, the keyboard, whilst printed as QWERTY, is actually a QWERTZ keyboard whilst typing. Now, the product code on the back is a UK English one (0561988) so I can only assume it's been flashed with the wrong firmware. Running the Nokia Software Update and reinstalling the firmware doesn't resolve the problem.
I was going to try the Nemesis Service Suite to try and check the code/firmware etc., but unfortunately when running a scan for the phone I just get "Error" and no information displayed.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I'd really like to get this phone's keyboard working properly!

This is of no help to you at all, but I thought I'd let you know that I have exactly the same problem. I guess we'll have to wait until Nokia release a new firmware version for it, or until my next phone upgrade comes due in November, whichever is comes soonest 😊
I'm new to this whole smartphone thing, and to the Nokia E63 in particular.
But, when you go into Tools > Settings > General > Personalisation > Language, what 'Options' are available to you for 'Phone language' and 'Writing language'? Are they set to 'Automatic', and can they be changed to 'English'? And, does that make any difference?

An interesting thought, and thanks for taking the time to post it. Sadly I've just checked on my phone, and both were set to "English" already.
