Guys, I need help over an issue.
I changed allready 3 laptops (1 in december) and still cannot make things work in the XP-IR-9210 Combination.
The 9210 gets connected, and stays so until I begin sending or receiving info,s via pc suite.
Then I got disconected from PC Suite. The link is still on, because I can send or receive files via IR Link.
What am I doing wrong?
Did someone managed to make it work until now?
Please Help, I,m desperate 😉
I had some problems with XP 2, sometimes it will work like it is supposed 2 but whenever the windows xp link is established pc suite will block. So disabling the xp ir link (that icon in systray where you click to send files) probably will work, how ever I didn't try this cause it wasn't my laptop 😉
that cannot be disabled an if can, how can I do it?
I am not that familiar with XP but other windows versions have an IR icon in control panel where you can adjust everything.
As for getting xp and the 9210 to work together i gave up eventually and cheated..i installed a win98 partition soley for the 9210..granted it wasnt my laptop and i didnt have time to fully test all the options but i believe this is an easy way of getting a reliable connection!
This should mean nobody IR to PC under XP?
