N95 8Gb, problems with keys

I have a 8gb n95 and the right softkey and call key have stopped working.

Now I would simply just send it to nokia to get them to repair it/replace it, however I have a small problem

Its a vodafone branded n95 that I have changed the product code on to make it appear as a standard phone. So I can have the latest firmware.

As of yet I don't believe vodafone have branded the latest (v31.0.015) firmware.

If I send the phone to nokia, I am assuming they are going to tell me off/not return the phone, and certainly not do anything about it.

Can I change the product code back? Do I have to worry about firmware versions etc?

Is there anything I can do?

take it to a Nokia Servce Centre if theres one near you? If you have Nokia FW on a nokia phone updated using Nokia software updater... wheres the issue for them? 😉

This didnt happen when you updated the fw did it?

no, it happened after the update.

The problem is I have changed the product code to get a standard firmware rather than the vodafone firmware
