how to uninstall "WWW" application?

4 replies · 2,935 views · Started 10 April 2002

now... I installed Opera v6 beta... but... I'd like to uninstall the standard WWW app, that's not needed anymore... and maybe set opera as standard browser to be accessed by that "WWW" link... is there anyway to do such a thing?

thanks in advance for help User posted image

Not sure, but I think the WWW browser is actually installed in ROM, so you can't uninstall it. I could be wrong, but after a full format, it is already installed on the machine.

Also, the Opera beta runs out in June, so it might be wise to keep hold of WWW just in case a new one is not released.

first I don't think I have a "new" version, just the one d/l from a site... I think "aikon.ch" ... a couple of weeks ago

second probably WWW is in ROM, yes, i thought it too... but I hoped it was not...
