Hi,
I have been using Nokia Photos for months syncing sms's, photos etc from my N78 all has been well. The last time i tried to do this nothing synced, and i got an error saying something like "sync can not continue - restart phone and try again"
I have restarted the phone, still get the error
I upgraded Nokia Photos from 1.2 to 1.6 (ovi suite), still get the error
I have deleted off the phone some sms's and photos on either side of where it stopped syncing last time incase they were damaged, sill get the error.
I have over 7000 items in Nokia Photos, is this too many?
I have the latest firmware on the N78.
Anyone have any ideas?

Have you got those 7000 entries on your phone's Nokia photos or on your PC's Nokia photos ???
Type *#0000# on your phone and give information to the forum... Also mention the version details about your Nokia Photos(PC Version) Is this the latest one 1.6.x ????
Also do mention how many messages/Images/Videos are there on your phone, if entries are in the phone.
Details about your pc also will help. Windows OS ? Xp/Vista 32/64 bit ? Service Pack 1/2/3 ?

Sorry for the lack of reply i have been away.
The 7000 items are only on nokia photos on the pc, they are from a few years and different phones. I usualy delete txt's (thru nokia message centre) when i get over 800 txt's in my inbox (on the phone). I've done this many times with this phone with no errors.
I'm running vista 32 bit, sp1 with 1.6.103 nokia photos (ovi suit).
I have just updated the firmware on the phone to 21.002 (21.002.051.1), still get the problem.
Ovi suit is just downloading new versions of the suit and nokia photos now, maybe they have fixed the bug. I will post after it is installed and let you know.
None of the items on the phone are over 25mb that i know of.

I have installed the upgrades to ovi suit and photos, no different.
The last few times since i posted the original thred when i try to sync in nokia photos i don't get the error anymore, it just sits and says 'updating nokia n78' with the rotating circle for about 5min, even if i go file, sync, n78. It just try�s to sync again for 5 min and comes up with 'sync cancelled' all by it self.
The only way i can see to sort it is to remove everything from the phone, maybe even reset it to factory settings and see if it will sync then, and try and put things back on.
It's really annoying because i have a lot of important messages for the period i can't sync that i really want to keep.
Also, i have checked the memory, i've got 25mb free and 50mb used on the phone memory (not the memory card). Only 1.4mb are messages and 500kb images (rest are on card). I have 165mb of images, 25mb of video on the card.
If you have any ideas i would be grateful.
