My N95 and Three

Ok im having a nightmare with Three and my N95.

SO i thought id come ask you guys what you know.

I have the N95 my firmware is:

V20.0.15
13-11-07
RM-159
Nokia N95 (42.01)

So i see on a website that V30 is available. Plug in my phone to NSU and it says it is upto date. I scratch my head and have a look around and Supposedly networks release their versions slightly later than the normal vanilla version. I email them and get told that V30 is only for N95 8GB.

Is this correct? and if so can someone explain to me what i gain/loss if i debranded my phone?

Thanks for any help!!! :icon14:

Version 31 is available for both the N95-1 and N95-2 (8GB) generic, unbranded, handsets (albeit, these are seperate version 31 firmwares for each handset and not interchangeable).

It is true that some operators do lag behind in releasing their own branded firmware, in my experience, by up to six months in some cases.

If you want to check the latest firmware available for your branded handset you can do so here:-

The only other alternative is to debrand the handset, and possibly void your warranty, see here:-

and then update your handset.
