Port settings reverting to default

I am trying to set up my yahoo e-mail access on my N95 8gb. I have all the info from Yahoo, part of the set up is to assign SSL with port 995 for incoming and SSL with port 465 for outgoing mail. When I enter the port#'s I click OK, and then exit the screens. The port#'s show up on the screen as they should. When I exit from the e-mail set up and go back in the ports are gone and the selection goes from "used default" to "default". Since the ports are not set up I can not connect to yahoo.
Any suggestions why the ports are over written back to default? Whatever that is.

Not sure what the problem is but those ARE the default ports. That's why it says default afterwards when you check. I would try and mess about with the security settings: ssl/tls for both servers.
Anyone with yahoo?

OK, figured it out. As you mentioned the ports are default values that is why it goes bac to "default". The problem was with the Yahoo account itself. I needed to change setting so that it would allow remote access. Thank for help.
