hey guys,
I recently got a nokia 5800 and i love it. I can access my home wifi without a problem, and I can surf the net without a problem.
However, I went to uni today and I had trouble setting up the wifi for it. I checked my uni website, and it has intructions to set the VPN to enable me to access the wifi, however i am having trouble finding the VPN settings?
here is the link from my uni.

Thanks for your help guys 😊
The Nokia support for VPNs is extremely poor to non-existant.
There is Nokia Mobile VPN which I think is only compatible with specific VPN hardware and is extremely complicated to set up.

For 3rd party solutions there is NCP Secure Entry which does IPSEC VPNs but is expensive and doesn't seem to work on my 5800

And SymVPN which does PPTP VPNs and is alot more reasonably priced but again does not work on 5800.

Basically if you want VPN support buy an iPhone 😞
Sorry
-- Correction --
It appears that NCP Secure Entry should work on a 5800. When I originally tried it I was getting a grey screen when I attempted to connect but after speaking to NCP they confirm that it should work on 5800 and I can at least get past the grey screen this time even if I can't work out the correct settings to connect to my VPN server at home.

The instructions seem pretty straight forward. Have you installed Nokia VPN client? (Available in the Download! app)
I installed SymVPN_v1_0_B78 on my nokia 5800 and restart it and I did everything. but when I click on Verify (Verfing username and password) the screen go black and there appear some vertical lines in diffrent colors and I cannot do anything except turn off the phone with power button.
Can you help me how can I solve this problem?
