Talk and web at same time and upgrading to Version 30.0.015

I have the NAM version of the n95 8gb. Its version 20 right now, but I want to update to Version 30.0.015 so i can have latest features and the rotate screen thing. Well I saw on other forums that people who use updated to version 30 have problems sending pictures through MMS. They say that the phone will no longer auto scale down pictures you take to send as an MMS and gives the file too larger error. Does it do this with everyone's phone here, or are those just random errors.

Another thing is I can't seem to do packet data and voice at same time.. That was 1 of the reasons I wanted the phone.

Direct from Nokia US site :

Dual Transfer Mode (DTM) support for simultaneous voice and packet data connection in GSM/EDGE networks. Simple class A, multi slot class 11, max speed DL/UL: 177.6/118.4 kbits/s

But when I try it, it puts my packet data on hold. Is there something special I need to set for this to work? or is this network specific or a feature in V 30 and not V 20 that I have.

thanks again.

Hmmm, you can't simultaneously use voice and data on 2G networks. You can on 3G though.

That's what I was thinking also, the statement about the dual voice and data on 3g and 2g is what confused me. Thanks for the confirm.
