Will SYMSMB work after firmware upgrade?

Hi

I am considering upgrading my firmware but am unsure about reloading some of my apps -most importantly- SYMSMB 3.5 .I use this wireless client app all the time but the developer has stopped all support (some legal reasons)I am wondering if anyone as reintalled program and got in to work without activation or if the activation still works ?.Also if I undertake a full backup prior to firmware upgrade will it restore all my apps or is that being really naive !

Cheers

Presumably you saved the original installation file and whatever regisration/license/activation code you received.

So, after a firmware update, you can then always reinstall and use the same registration code (as long as you're using the same application version on the same phone).

1. Yes it will still work.
If you installed SymSMB to internal memory, then you will need to manually re-install so will need the SIS/X file and the registration code.
If you installed on a memory card, you probaby will not even need to re-install tha app.

2. NEVER restore a backup after a firmware upgrade - use PC Suite Synchronisation instead, before and after the upgrade.
