Web browser problems — Nokia E90 — All About Symbian Forum Archive

Hello friends.
I am an E90 user from 7 months & it works without problems. But i have 2 really annoying problems in the web application which force me to use a 3rd party browser. This effect my productivity since i depend on web browsing on my Communicator for business.

1. First,the Web font dont appear. I dont now whats wrong exactly but simply i cant read anything because there is no text. Only the large titles appear. For examlpe the GOOGLE large title in www.google.com appear but the text in the search box dont appear. This happen before 3 weeks! And i cant find any solution.

2. The RSS reader dont update. This happen after i select refresh all feeds.
This happens before 3 months.

Did you, by chance, install some Ramadan application just before the problems started? There's at least one version which messes up the default/system fonts for the web browser. Uninstalling it should fix it.

Thanks for your reply but i didnt install any Ramdan application. I installed many 3rd party applications from Beta labs,Epocware & others including Handy RSS application to use Web feeds after RSS reader stop.

😊 Did you try a third-party browser like http://mini.opera.com/ and see what happens ? Did you do a Restart or a Reset ? See my post on this forum by searching for : " Vulcan Death Grip "

Yes,i am using Opera Mini now and it works very well. I restart my device and it didnt help. I dont want to format it,this will be the last choice.

Hi,

It looks like, your next step is the format or reflash firmware. I would suggest to do it, it takes less than an hour with the backup/restore included.

Hello..

I mostly used the mozilla firefox browser for surfing and downloading..
Internet Explorer is really a very problematic browser sometimes the problem is create in the ie so that we have to close it because of that our work is gonna slow and also not completed so now i use the mozilla and in mozilla the problems are not occur and also its fast on compare of other browsers....
