Another in our series of beginner's 'How to's for the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and S60 5th Edition, Tzer2 here walks you through every aspect of connecting up a Bluetooth wireless keyboard to the phone - it's not something officially supported but it does work extremely well - if you know how!
Read on in the full article.
could you suggest other good and inexpensive bluetooth keyboards? the su-8w is not only hard to find, but also very expensive...
I understand the Apple wireless keyboard works perfectly - in fact, I'm scraping together the pennies to buy one for my N95.
The keyboard doesn't fold up, but at least that means it doesn't bend in the middle when you place it on your lap 😊
TheUndertaker, try searching your favourite electronics shop or places like eBay with the keywords bluetooth keyboard. Most Bluetooth keyboards should be compatible with the Nokia Wireless Keyboard application (in fact it might even be that all of them are compatible but I'm not 100% sure about that).
If a keyboard has any Nokia devices in its compatibility list it should work with the 5800 too, even if the 5800 isn't actually on the list.
There's a great variety of different BT keyboards, some are foldable and slim enough for your pocket while others are much larger and only meant for home or office use.

is what you want .. although its Dell branded it is in fact an Igo Stowaway .. they work perfectly with Symbian devices .. (I can't say for sure re:5800 .. Steve?? )
They do NOT have a pointing device but with a touch screen thats not an issue 😊
interesting, so most bluetooth wireless keyboards should work! great will try to get my hands on a nice one! thanks guys!
Just added a diagram to the article showing where the 5800's Bluetooth aerial is, which may be useful if you're having trouble getting the phone to pair with a keyboard properly:

Also added a couple more paragraphs to do with TheUndertaker's question, so people know how to find compatible Bluetooth keyboards.
I know that bluetooth keyboard for a long time ago, but in this post you only talk about the 5800. It is compatible with other devices, like the N78, right?

Yes, Bluetooth keyboards work with pretty much all Nokia S60 devices.
