Can you get a duplicate SIM card made? I ask as I have just aquired a P800 and would like to continue to use my T68i when going out at weekends, etc. Having the same SIM in both phones would be kinda handy...?
Duplicate SIM card?
I wondered the same thing, not wanting to take my shiny new P800 down the local at weekends! I rang O2 and first they said yes thats fine, then they transfered me over to the sales department to order the SIM.....
BUT, I was then told that it isn't possible because no 2 active SIMs can have the same number. I'm sure that it is possible providing you turn one phone off when you turn the other on!
I've e-mailed O2 asking them again! If anyone here's that it IS possible then say so... For now it's gonna be a case of switching the SIM over to my old phone as and when needed, but thats not gonna be good for the SIM or phone in the long run surely...
SIM cloning is possible, but it is also illegal in some countries. All you need is a smartcard reader/writer (phoenix mode) and the software. As I said it is illegal to clone a sim so dont ask me how to do it!
In some contries (Sweden for instance) it is possible to order a duplicate SIM card for your subscription. Since there are a lot of car manufacturers today that build GSM phones directly into the car, a company that can't provide the service will lose customers...

I'm in the Same situation. Does Orange UK allow you to get a duplicate SIM?
