Message Alerts on Nokia N85

Hi,

I wonder if someone could help me.

I have used Symbian phones for years now, starting with 6600, N80, N95 8GB and now the Nokia N85.

I debranded my N85 with NSS and got the latest software update but I don't think that is the cause of the problem.

The problem I am getting is that whenever I get a new text, it will vibrate/ring as I expect, however it doesn't pop up saying "New Text Message Received" like all of my old phones. This means instead of having to click the single Read button, I have to navigate to my inbox - pretty annoying! It does show a little Envelope in the top right though indicating a new text.

Anyone know where the setting is for this? Or if this is a fault or something?

Oh I debranded to the Euro1 Zone, 0555817 I believe.

Cheers,
Michael

here are my "Messaging" / "Options" / "Settings" / "Text message" settings
Message centres = blank ie none listed
Message centre in use = SIM message centre
Character encoding = Full support
Receive report = No
Message validity = Maximum time
Message sent as = Text
Preferred connection = GSM/UMTS
Reply via same centre = No

When I receive a text message I get a Bar with "1 new message" displayed and two options Show and Exit though the center button defaults to "Show" anyhow.
