New User Question - Using N95 8GB as USB Key

4 replies · 3,424 views · Started 07 April 2009

Guys, looking for some advice....Just recently got N95 8GB, I was wondering if & how the 8GB could be used as a memory key equivalent for docs..etc.etc..

Would each device require Nokia Tools or does it just add itself as a Driver Letter when connected to a pc via cable or even wireless.

Excuse the question if it seems silly

Regards

John

Hi,

Connect your phone as Data Transfer/mass storage mode while connecting your device with pc if you want to use your phone as Storage device.... :icon4: Do remember once your work is done, for unplugging your device as storage device, goto safely remove hardware and make sure you get message on your phone as Its now safe to remove your device (something like this) and then remove your device, else your data will be lost :icon4: 😊

Files supported by Nokia 3110 Classic

Video Playback: Yes, MPEG 4, 3GPP, H.263 formats supported

Can you use Nokia PC Suite to upload video ?

I wouldn't really reccomend usıng ıt as a USB key sınce ıt's very slow to put fıles on (500KB/s average) also ıt draıns your battery pretty quıckly.
