I don't think you can actually clear that list yourself. I would suggest emailing Nokia and asking them as they're most likely able to help you with this. Sorry.
You could try a soft reset. But it will wipe the phone in terms of data you have added, calender, address book, messages, etc. If you have a back up there is no real risk because you can restore it all.
I haven't read of any one doing this with an N85 yet so it would be at own risk......
