Same to turn it off again

Or a quick press of the power button, up, ok. The the first way is quicker..

😊

i can't find it mentioned in the manual (weird..) and neither could my friend (he has Chinese model)..

but good thing Nokia has kept the shortcut the same for a while otherwise i'd never have found it.

I only found it cause I noticed the slight delay when pressing the left menu button before the application actually starts, whereas the right key is instant.
So I assumed it was doing something, ah ha - the key lock I thought to myslef and press all the combinations of obvious keys and found it!

😊

I've moved the camera function over the the right menu key now as the delay before the camera application started got to agaravating. 😉

Anyone know of an app. that will auto lock the keypad after a specified amount of time (10secs) like on my 5210?

Thanks.

you can do the following steps to set delay to your auto lock:

Menu => Tools => Settings => Security Settings =>Auto Lock Period => options => Change enter lock code => highlight user defined => OK => you will see that the phone will prompt you Lock After => then set delay

hope this helps. 8)

But does that not lock the phone and requires a pin code entry - rather than just locking the keypad?

I have not got my phone on me at he moment so I can't try it for myself..

What I want to do is disable that *nasty* 2sec delay on the left shortcut button. Then if the keylock could be assigned to for example Pen+* that would be good. But is it possible to get that 2sec delay off?

OK, I have tried SeleQ, I see the option but it does nothing.

The thing that amor7 mentioned locks the phone and you have to enter a PIN to unlock it. Also, the min. time is 1 min. On my 5210, I had it set to 10 seconds.

Any other ideas? Maybe someone could write a little app?
