Erroneously (see below), but at least it's informing them! As shown (again) below, Nokia Software Update, recently updated, now informs users of the main benefits of installing specific firmware updates. As well as the simple numeric enhancement, users now get plain English 'this is why you should update' prompts. Add in the recent use of official Nokia press releases to push major firmware updates and the slow but steady stream (e.g. here) of general minor update articles and it seems that Nokia's update servers are really cranking into gear.

You just bought one for backup purposes didn't you?
(N82 on a pedestal)
If you really want to hack the phone it still can be done in version 31.x.x
Regarding the Nokia firmware updater I haven't seen anything new as I already have the lastest firmware.
Recently updated???? Mine has not.

No, no, my point had nothing to do with the N82 and v31 - I was pointing out that the last update to NSU itself brought extra info to the user.....
V31 is worse than V20 because problem with exposure in camera picture are too bright when phone uses Xenon and video recording in VGA is worse than V20 when shot's on indoors conditions the playback is horrible just blocks and skips. hope this and more will be solved with new firmware V32.....?

I knew that, but as you can see from the attached image this information will not show up if you have the latest firmware, which was my point.
At least they are making it better pointing out some different fixes but I really would've liked a short cjamgelog posted which mentioned the most significant changes.

Thanks for that info, however a bit too late as I've already installed the fw update a long time ago Really do hope they release a new one that fixes those issues you mentioned. I haven't been studying the pictures before and after but I do remember that I find the pictures too bright when shooting with the Xenon indoors.
