Draft SMS in flip closed mode?

11 replies · 3,000 views · Started 28 February 2003

When I write an SMS in flip closed mode and I close it, the message is saved in the drafts folder. How can I access this folder so I can send the message without opening the flip???

Also, the two small keys 'c' and 'the arrow' on the flip have to be pressed very firmly to get them to work. Does anyone else have this problem?

Thanks!

Marc

How exactly is this supposed to help me??

it will fix u the "c" nd the arrow button, cuz its a bug from the fone.i had the same problem, nd somethin else u cant open drafts folder when ur flip is closed.

I feel that a lot of important features were left out when the flip is closed, I mean 90% of the phone features should be available for use with the 5D jog dial, I hope Sony Ericsson incorporates more closed flip options in later firmware updates, I sometimes just need to use the P800 as a phone, say when walking down the street, but at the moment Im finding even to send a simple SMS message I have to open the flip

I'm having the same problem - it's quite difficult to use the P800 as a phone but I think a lot of it is just learning to use the jog dial properly.

Having said that, not being able to view other folders (drafts, etc) and not being able to filter or at least order the contacts, especially in flip closed mode is a real pain.

Imagine having to scroll through 1000+ contacts in flip closed mode.

Thanks, but if I press the buttons hard enough they work. Seems more like a hardware issue to me!

As for the flip closed thing, I agree that much more of the functions should be available in this mode so you can use the other hand to hang on for dear life when you are on the train!!!

Set your calibration to default and the keys will start working again.
Unfortunately the user customized calibration is used in FC mode (which by the way is insane. A lot of people will think their phones are broken)

I'm not too familiar will SE phones, plus I don't have my P800 yet so I can't try, but does it not do that thing when you're scrolling through contacts where you can press a letter and it takes you to the list of contacts starting with that letter?

Thats one long sentense I know... but what the heck!

I took my Flip off within 5 mins of getting the P800. One handed operation is then very achievable.

I have 1900+ Contacts and find the FO Contact Tabs + JogDial easy to use one handed.

I thought the phone only supports 1000 contacts. plus sim?
What have you got half the phone book in your phone or something, why would someone need 1900 contacts!
