I've had my Nokia 5800 for a couple of weeks now and am wondering if anyone has any fixes for these niggly things that are a bit annoying.
1) I have hundreds of Contacts synced from Outlook. When I want to call someone scrolling through this long list is a pain. I know you can auto-reduce your way through your contacts in the dialer by entering a letter at a time, but the letters keep moving as the list of possible next letters changes which makes this an unintuitive process. Isn't there a dialer which just lets you enter letters on a soft number pad as if you were writing words in an SMS? I think this would be a much quicker way of finding a contact to call.
2) The speed dial doesn't seem to work with numbers that have any punctuation in them (like spaces, brackets, dashes). As Outlook formats phone numbers this way by default, that means I can't put a contact synced from Outlook on a speed dial. Is there a way to fix this (other than reformatting the numbers)?
