Help needed for wifi use

I have in the past used my N95 classic to access the Internet on my home wireless network.

Since the last time I upgraded the firmware to V30.0.015, I have been unable to do this.

The wep key is correct.

I cannot find where to check that my ip address and gateway address are still there. Memory fails me again! :frown:

Can someone tell me where I can find where my ip address and gateway address is?

In my network I assign an ip rather than have one auto generated.

Did you by any chance RESTORE a backup after the firmware upgrade? Doing his corrupts the handset functions in some cases - and can be fixed by formatting the internal memory with *#7370#

Yes I did!

If I do as you suggest, I assume I lose everything in my phone memory and will have to enter everything manually?

Dear Friend,
It is unclear to me as to why you are not able to find these settings.
If you already created a WLAN access point then following is the path you can access it.
In "Settings" proceed to"Connections" then to "Access points" and then click on the WLAN connection name which you previously created. Having opened your WiFi access point, press "Options" and then "Advanced settings". Then press IPv4 settings. There you will find phone IP address, subnet mask, default gateway and DNS sever addresses.
I hope this solves your problem.
cheers

Thank You. That is exactly what I needed to know.

It has been so long since I last had to enter the details, I had forgotten how to do it. :icon14:
