Nokia's Ovi team are looking for independent voices to give them direct feedback about what they're doing right and what they're doing wrong with Ovi. With research centre in New York, London and Helsinki, anyone in the USA, UK or Finland can apply to be considered. If picked, Nokia will pay travel to the centre within your country and $100 on top.

Definitely there are lots of improments to be made and that survey surely is a cute step taken by Nokia to reach their new "Nokia, also a Internet Company" aim; getting a real, face-to-face community feedback opportunity.
I hope they use the chance they'll get with these surveys and meeting cleverly and start serving their services more user preferences oriented.
Nokia may be looking for independent voices but they certainly never acknowledged mine - despite me using a megaphone!
I got an invite to upload my app to the Ovi Store.
My first question to them was how secure was the Ovi server?
Who in Nokia has access to it?
My concern was that if I am being asked to upload my full application with no IMEI locking mechanism (so it basically raw & naked)
it would only take one stray .SIS to hit a warez or torrent site
and 50% of potential sales could go down the drain.
I asked, and asked, directly and even on the Nokia/Ovi discussion
forum. I asked about 10 times fromthe beginning of March.
I never got any comment, response or answer from Ovi.
Currently I sell my app through another online distributer of mobile apps who offers Dynamic RPN Registration key generation.
It's not perfect but at least I don't have to worry about casual piracy.
However, if I am expectde to send my app somewhere with zero protection I expected some form of assurance.
E.g. when smebody purchases an app from the Ovi store
is it ALWAYS direct to the phone and ALWAYS installed on the phone?
If the .SIS can be downloaded to the phone or even to a PC
before installation then that is a huge security issue. I wanted to know about the possibility of this. I asked desperately so I could decide what to do before launch date.
Ovi/Nokia never responded, so I never uploaded my app.
