wow, does look good. Shame you have to pay for it... if only some nice person could post the file itself

It cost 6.99 which is VERY cheap for such an advanced game.

If you steal the game then we are far less likely to make more games.

Does it really sound good to you to steal cheap games, make the companies that produce them go bankrupt, then not have any good games for your device?

You are a thief and an idiot.

Well I wouldnt want that, the products are all cheap enough for any of us to afford (since people on here have shelled out for such an expensive phone), I would however like to see a Demo!

Yes, we are porting Strategic Assault to the P800 (info at http://www.xengames.com/productssa.htm ), it is a real time strategy game.

We are also working on more games for the P800 which we are not ready to announce details of yet.

Currently there is not a demo of Interstellar Flames on any phone platform, although we have a demo for the Pocket PC version. This might change in the future.

Ok ok, i would honestly buy it if i could see with my own eyes that it is as good as it looks. So if you had a limited demo then that would be good. Look at it from the cosumer point of view...

😊

Sorry, I just get annoyed when people suggest the sort of thing you did above, because we have put a great amount of effort into creating the games.

I can simpathise as I am part of a team of software designers. I appologise for suggesting it, and I will buy it when you guys release it for the P800! It looks great, hope to see it soon 😃

I hope your sell a lot of copies 4.70 ish is very reasonable.

A quick question how do I fire with the Auto fire turned off?

Also I've noticed when you task away to another app, the game is still visible in the menu bar at the top of the screen, you have to make you apps controls invisible when its view closes 😊

Command and Counquer with a different name.....wicked, what is the expected release date/month?

Have there been any problems with the port from PPC to P800?

The gameplay is different from Command and Conquer, we have made it more fast-paced as we think that works better for a mobile device. We imagine people playing our games for 10-30 minutes inbetween other things rather than sitting down for a 2-hour gaming session with their phone. There will definitely be a demo version of Strategic Assault available, so you can see for yourself. It has been very popular on the Pocket PC, the bestselling Pocket PC game of 2002 on Handango in fact, so hopefully it will be well recieved on the P800.

The port is not particularly difficult, although the different screen size needs taking into account. I cannot give a release date at the moment, it depends on a number of things. It will almost certainly be released sometime between a few days and one month from now.

Regarding Interstellar Flames: On the P800 you should leave autofire turned on because none of the buttons are really suitable for a fire key. I will look into the issue with the menu bar.

Simon,

I have a problem that only happens with INTER FLAMES when I play it and then close it when I go to apps I can not see any icons, I can change between ALL TOOLS etc but no icons, they come back after a reset but as soon as I run your app the same thing happens. I have tried opening others apps but they do not effect it. I am using R1B

I have to say that the pricing of these games is about right.

Too expensive and I don't think many people will pay for them. I hope more companies take this lead and produce affordable games and apps for the P800.

Looking forward to the new games as shoot 'em ups aren't really my thing ...

Hi,

I dont think Interstellar Flames could possibly affect the icons except by a bug in the phone software. I recommend you upgrade to the latest firmware. What is the exact version numbers of your p800 software?

Simon

I would just like to say that for action games like this, I think a better solution than using the stylus would be to use the jogdial and browser/cam buttons. This works very well for Doom. Doom can be played in widescreen with the jogdial on the bottom as a four-way stearing wheel and the browser and cam buttons for action.

That's the only reason I would not buy this particular game. I really don't find the stylus a good way of maneuvering in action type games.

Simon,

It has something to do with your app as I un-installed it and it was OK reset still OK re-installed and can not browse or see anything under apps. I agree that it could be the OS but I am sure you have tested it on all revisons.

I think using the jog dial rotate up / down is good for rapid fire, ie each key event up / down generates a fire. You can see this working on EMame.

How do I get an updated version if it appears 😊

These games looks very nice indeed! 😃

I ordered a banking card yesterday so I can order these games, thats just the trouble when buying on the net.

Thank you for producing good stuff for my P800 😉

I think the game is good and very reasonably priced. Hope that all your upgcoming games will be priced like this one 😊

A port of Strategic Assault! I can't wait 😊 (too bad I can't trade in my license purchase for the PPC version for the P800 version 😊 kidding).

Will there be new levels, by any chance? I've played the PPC version thru several times.

Great job Simon, and thanks for the excellent pricing on the interestallar game. I do hope that an update will be released that allows mapping of controls to various buttons on the phone though - that's the way to go - allow users to map controls if they want.

I have purchased and "attempted" to play the game. I know that the game is only 7 dollars but thats no excuse for the lousy controls it has. I should have spent that $$ on a couple gallons of gas instead. But dont take my word for it.....purchase it yourself...you may like it. Ummm...graphically looks nice at least?

~Me and my 2 cents.

I bought this game for the SPV, but I would not spend another 6$ for it on P800 :/

Any chance you make a "Phone upgrade price" ? 😉

I've been trying to buy this game from both Handango and My-Symbian... I keep getting an error!!!!!! Grrrrrr...... :x I want this game!!!!

XenGames... great work!!! Hope to see more games like this for the P800 (Keep the prices low of course!!! 😉 )

I'd like to see a version of Command & Conquer and SimCity for the P800 as well... as fun as arcade games are... the stylus input of the P800 works on WarCraft/C&C style games better. 😊

gazcart: I havent had any other reports of this, and havent been able to recreate it here. I really do think it is more likely to be the OS.

controls: I agree that onscreen controls arent usually ideal for action games. The buttons on the P800 are small and fiddly though, and as there is no 4-way joypad the P800 will always have this problem with action games. I do think the current control system allows full control of the fighter once you get used to it. We will hopefully release an update allowing customisable controls soon. At least Strategic Assault wont have this problem!

Any updates are free to registered users of course.

CoffeeKid: Strategic Assault will have the same 15 levels (plus 15 level expansion pack) as the Pocket PC version. There will be a mapeditor available to create your own missions though.

Hi Simon it was my first well spent 6,99 euros for the P800 buying your game! Great graphics! I wanna ask once more if you ll be able to fix the menu bar issue and also mention that Quitting game for some reason takes to long! Well done! Do we get a free upgrade since we bought the game? One more question how much of the processor speed did you use? I mean is there more horse power on P800? I am sure there is still room for further optimization!
Thank you in advance one of your Greek customers! 😉
