Dust under screen of E75

Dust under screens is so irritating and I don't understand why Nokia is so bad.

In every other respect, their E-series devices are built like tanks, so why can't they prevent dust from getting under the screens!?

My E71 that I've had for 8 months has got so much dust under its screen now that it's really become a distraction. I was going to take it in to a service centre and have it cleaned but didn't bother because I'd decided to buy a new E75....

Well...picked up my new E75 up from the Regent Street Nokia store yesterday and, guess what, about half a dozen clearly visible pieces of dust under the screen when I unboxed it!

It will be going back but I'm interested to know, have any other E-series owners had a similar experience?

I have got one spec under my screen it has been there since day one, Only other problems I have had with my E75 is it feels a little rattly if put down on a hard surface or when vibrate. Unit is coming up to 10 days and has now begining switching itself off. Just done a factory reset still doing it.

Phone is a great little phone though like it a lot better than my E71 and E90. This one will be going back to the store tomorrow though. :frown:

My E75 acquired a dust cloud in the top-right corner during use. I found a link online to a YouTube video demonstrating how to disassemble the phone and I did just enough to get the fascia off the front "layer" and expose the lens and the LCD. A quick clean with eyeglass cloth and a cleaner, reassemble and good as new!

That's the time investment for if you have that torx bit. My phone came with 1 spec of dust on it, and that one irritates me too. I was quite surprised about it, and I am with the original poster: it is undoubtedly irresponsible to have phones go out with dust particles in between teh shell and the screen.

I think I will write an email about it, their support is very friendly on the phone at least. I will mention this thread as well.
