Hi,
We develop Java apps that use Internet access.
In every phone, network access is only asked for the first time it is required (per application launch).
In Nokia symbian 9.3 and up (N85, N96, 5800 etc) phones, network access is asked every single time. This is really bad for the user experience.
I know the way around it is to go to the application settings on the application manager and change the network access to ask first time, but this is also not so good as user experience.
I was wondering if there is another way to solve this
Thanks
Each application can be set to ask once, or on every request. You can change this in App Manager > Installed Apps. > Settings

he did say this in his original post if you'd have read it properly.

On the N85 (and presumably the N96 & 5800 as well) you set a default destination.
Settings - Connection - Destinations - Options - Default connection.
Hi GordonShowers,
This doesn't help because the application settings still says "ask every time" on Network Access.
The default destination only decides which connection it will be, the phone still asks for authorization to connect
