Hi
I need to recover the contacts from my N95. Does anybody knows any software to recover the internal memory?
I tried with Recuva, which could explore the internal memory via PC Suite. Although it can recover the external memory card on Mass Mode, it does not understand the internal Symbian archives system.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers.
You could try installing Y Browser, free of charge, on your phone:-

Then do a search of E: (mass memory).
I found mine under Others|Contacts.
Have you also tried Contacts > Options > Copy > From mass memory.

Thank you for your help. I have tried it. It seems to be a good explorer. It lets me explore the folders, but I don't find the actual or the lost contacts. It allows me to see the saved contacts in the SD Memory Card indeed.
That's the origin of the problem, the phone was suppose to save everything in the SD Memory Card, any new pic, video, download,... etc, so I thought that the new contacts would be also saved there, as long as I moved all the former contacts there, but the new ones were not saved there.
I did a firmware update, thinking the contacts were safe in the SD, and now it's time to look for a software...
Cheers.
All phone contacts are saved on phone memory even if you make a backup of contacts to mass memory.
Did you by any chance do a pc sync with Nokia pc suite. If so, they should be in your address book and can be copied back to phone..
I did, but I cannot find the former contacts, only the ones at the SD external memory. Even after passing over the MOBILedit, a very good explorer for devices, there are always the same contacts.

This software opens the operative system folders.
It seems they are not there, and they will have to be restored if the software for Symbian exists... any idea? Thanks.
Cheers.
Not sure how it could help. A web site with Forensic tool that could read the SIM and recover deleted contacts and messages.

Not good for the N95 that doesn't save them there, but could be good for others. At least now we know they could be restored using Forensic Tools.
Hi!
I have a big problem. I have got a nokia n95 8gb and I did a software update and unfortunatly i forgot to save my files from the phone memory (not from the mass memory). Is there anyway to recover this files? Specially the sound clips because there are evidence for 1 case what we recorded.
Thanks for the help
