1 or more alarms missed

Anybody have an idea how I stop my E90 giving me the "1 or more alarms missed due to time change" message most times when I open the calendar (which I use a lot). I am on O2 in the UK with network operator time turned off.

No alarms have ever been missed, which makes the message even more annoying. It is the calendar app that gives the message so I assume it is talking about calendar alarms. I have never set a clock alarm.

I see this alarm regularly and have definately missed numerous calendar alarms (MOST annoying), i.e. I remember setting an alarm for a certain time, and when I check my calendar, the "1 or more alarms missed due to time change" message flashes up . Currently I own a Samsung SGH-G810, but had exactly the same problem with my Nokia 6110 Navigator a while back (actually partly the reason I "upgraded"😉. Have tried switching "Network time update" on and off, to no avail. There also seems to be no relation between the error message flashing up and PC sync, as some forums are suggesting.

The problem seems to be Symbian S60 related (I have S60 3rd Ed SP1). Have also tried various firmware updates (even reverting to older versions), again: no change. This problem has become not only annoying but downright unacceptable, especially since I depend heavily on my calendar and have missed appointments on more than one occasion.

As a final act of desperation, I installed a third part calendar, hoping that the problem was caused by the boxed calendar application - still no change! Actually stopped receiving the "1 or more alarms..." message, but calendar still failed to start alarm notification.

I have spent a lot of time on forums trying to find a solution, where complaints from others date as far back as 2002 in some cases! However, unfortunately, Nokia and Symbian do not seem too bothered about this as I have not seen much response from their techs.

This has left me no choice - going back to my ancient sony ericsson W810i - at least its calendar alarms work!!!

AAAHHHHHH!!!

Under settings make sure that time is not set by network operator

When you go to a new time zone and change clock time, you will get a message if appointments etc. should be updated, say NO

it is still abug (others say a feature) byt you will not miss alarms anymore

I periodically get this error, but have not actually missed any alarms. I don't believe (in my case at least) that any alarms are ever missed, it's just a spurious error message which appears from time to time. I tried to update the FW to v. 400, but after 15 attempts I gave up; I don't know if this particular issue is addressed in this FW though...
