Not exactly a glowing review from me for the Nokia E75 in The Phones Show 80, I end up criticising everything from the small screen to the cluttered layout to the small battery to the bizarre 'folder' icons. Just being honest. Also in show 80 are a top 10 of iPhone gaming and a brief interview with Rafe about the Nokia N97. Here are the feeds for the QVGA and VGA versions for your feedreader.

I must admit I am rather bemused at your slating of the E75, some of us rather like buttons, and it still has less than the E90 and I don't recall you moaning then.
Why do we need to compare with the the 5800 and iPhone? aimed at different markets really, any non-touch phone is going to have more buttons.
Why you couldn't find podcasting etc is beyond me, as the 5800 has it in exactly the same place, with the same type of non-folder looking icon.
Nokia's home screened/folder based interface is still lighting years ahead of the pain in the arse screens and screens of icons with zero sturcture that the iPhone has become.
God forbid, Steve Litchfield is turning into an Apple Fanboy
its quite clear that that's exactly just what steve has become.give everything else but the iphone a swift kick in the goolies and praise iphone.excellent point about the e90 but im sure the comment back will say something along the lines well the e90 is bigger and they had to fill the space with something.just how many times will we hear about zenon flash?its really becoming tedious now along with the near constant multi touch crap that's started on other platforms sites and is now coming here.

Very different devices. The E90 has a huge screen to balance the full keyboard. The E75 has a relatively tiny screen and everything just feels cramped.

No, the 5800 has it behind a top level 'Media' icon. Leaving aside the icon design, the E75 hides media functions underneath 'Applications|Media', i.e. one level further down.

Each have their advantages. I prefer S60's method, but then I prefer Apple's App Store. 8-)

Not true. But I do appreciate good design when I see it. The iPhone and 5800 both have both good and bad design points, I try and stay objective. The E75 is great for simple messaging and email. But it falls short for an all-round power user.

Obviously not enough if you can't even spell it right. It's "Xenon".
i stand corrected as was hurrying to pick little ones up from school and just couldn t get over you harping on about it yet again.if you care to go back and edit it for me i will be grateful.
Comparing E90 with E75 is a crime. Just surf the web using E90 or edit a document or read an ebook & tell me about E75 then. I know many devices success with small screen like E71 but they have there own advantages like the ability to write on a QWERTY keyboard by one hand but dont compare it to E90.
By the way,can the bloggers, admins or comments leave the iPhone alone in one article? Exuse me.
I must say I kind of agree with Steve on the E75. The front keypad looks really cramped and the screen rather small. But it's still a bigger screen than on the E71 and easier number dialing too and also probably easier keyboard for most people although I am personally fine with the E71.
But it's not a one size fits all type of device, it's more like the clamshell blackberry, it's for those who are not quite happy with the E71 or 5800, it extends coverage for Nokia, anyway that's how I understand it.
Actually I was a little surprised at the poor review of the E75 as well. I absolutely LOVE it!
Obviously each to their own, personally I prefer physical buttons. Having the option of both is even better (a la N97). I tried to use the 5800 but only lasted about 6 days because I couldn't get on without physical buttons (although I did love the screen space).
I also disagree about the number of buttons. I don't find them a clutter at all, and like being able to add one click functionality to access my most used applications.
There is nothing unusual about disagreeing with maybe 10% - 15% of any review on anything, but to disagree with maybe 90% - 95% of a review makes me wonder if I have a completely different E75 to your review model!
