Samsung i8910 S60 SDK plug-in alpha released

Samsung Mobile Innovator has released the first iteration of the DevPak for the Samsung i8910 HD (formerly the Omnia HD). This plugs into the existing S60 5th Edition SDK to provide an emulator skin and control features, as well as additional APIs.

May I ask where all the Omnia HD content that AAS promised has gone?

No, I did not mean that. Rafe (or Steve) mentioned that there'd be more to come after the preview.

Why did Samsung drop the Omnia HD name? It was a lot more memorable than "8910", and the HD part got across its main selling point very well.

Everyone I've seen talking about the phone still calls it the Omnia HD, I don't know anyone who talks about it as the 8910...

I'm more interested in talking to people who are glad the name was changed because they would've bought it not knowing it's running a completely different OS because of the original Omnia. 🙄
