I use the Nokia 5800 music player throughout the day, in my car and walking around campus. The included wired remote works well for walking, but in the car, I use a line out wire.
When I want to change tracks I find it a bit of a hassle to have to slide the unlock switch and try to fumble with touch screen controls to simply change a song. I'm just wondering if a bluetooth media remote exists that will allow me to change songs while driving.
Hello Peanut,
Not sure if I understood you right, but do you use the 3.5mm standard headphone jack slot to connect your line out cable? If yes, then why don't you connect the same cable to the headphone remote, instead of connecting it directly to the phone? This might solve your problem of having to touch/look at the phone while driving.
(No, I don't know about any bluetooth remotes for a 5800, sorry there)
I have the same setup as you and all I do is use SmartLight to keep the backlight on while the phone is in music player mode. This way the screen will not blank, so you won't need to slide the switch. It probably helps to have the phone connected to the charger though as this may sap the battery!
I have the phone in a cradle so I can see the controls quite well.
This works for me - give it a try!!
