I know iPlayer downloads have been fu**** yet again with this new firmware

But I thought you could watch downloaded programmes for 30 days from download? I've noticed that this is not really the case. I hardly get 2 weeks sometimes. And it often has to request a new licence as well....

According to the iplayer FAQ at bbc.co.uk, downloaded programs can only be viewed up to 7 days for 7 days;

Download TV programmes over wifi to watch later without needing an internet connection. If you download a programme, you can watch or listen to it for 7 days. Devices that don't currently support the digital rights management (DRM) system that we use for BBC iPlayer cannot download programmes to watch or listen to later.
