Transferring files to P800

I tried to transfer a wav file to my P800 using the USB Sync Station, but was unable to do it...in the manual I read that files can be transferred using IR or Bluetooth: does that mean that I can't transfer files with a USB connection?? What's the technical limitation of this???

You can certainly transfer files via USB. What error message are you getting? WAV files may only be stored in a folder in the Documents\Media files\audio\ folder. The P800 only allows certain file types in specified areas.

If you are having general problems connecting via USB, make sure that the appropriate port is selected in the Phone Connection Link on the system tray.

Good luck!

No error messages...the phone is detected and SE's utils work...but how can I transfer a wav? I noticed a P800 icon in Explorer, but it doesn't let me paste files there. The utils given by Sony are for backup purpose...so how do I send files to my P800??

No problem. After you install SE's utils, you'll have a "My P800" icon on your desktop. If your phone is connected, you'll find an explorer-like interface when double-clicking this icon. In there you can copy, paste, drag'n'drop and do whatever your heart desires...😊

You have to open on of the two "disks" first (after double-clicking the My P800-icon). Choose one of them, and then choose f.i. "Documents" and click-and-drag the files there.

Thanks for your help. The problem was in the Utils: I installed SE's Utils again, rebooted and then Explorer was able to show the 2 disks...
