I just wanted to update a few things that have been addressed in the passed.. My good mate insomniac has done wonders with my laptops and 9210i I was the one whom had XP pro. we managed to get the ir working with the 9210i as a modem to connect to the internet on the laptop that was fine. but we could not back up without crashing. Then I lost my laptop to a accident with a bus!! got a new one with no serial port and had to by a usb to serial adapter cable (nokia do not recognise) the same happened IR worked but not cable other than small amounts of data like tom tom city maps even some of the big ones crashed. As Insomniac said last week he made a 98 platform after formatting etc my laptop it works beautifully thru this as modem/ and general syncroing and backing up etc its the first time for me of having everything working right. I gave hime my old 9210 when vodafone offered me 9210i for �200 and he is getting my present 9210i end of march as vodafone are offering me another 9210i for �200 ( I have been with them for 15yrs)

Does XP now work with Nokia Suite for original 9210 not i?
HAs somebody brought out a patch in the 6 months I have been travelling.
I need to backup and sync not just use the modem does it work XP at all?
