Mobile Windows Live Messenger

Hey, Does somebody know why if it says that the nokia 5800 xpressmusic is a s60 (or has it i'm not sure) it is not compatible with the version that is out there for S60 nokia phones??... i've been trying to get mobile live messenger and i haven't found a compatible version for my phone... HELP!!... :con?:con?
By the way i installed a mobile (compatible) version of ebuddy and it kind froze when tried to exit (but did not finished all the steps to log in and i had to take out the battery to re-start it, does anyone have an idea what happenned??:frown:

I don't actually know much about he two apps you mention, but the 5800 uses a very different version of S60 than any other Nokia phone (the N97 will be the second phone with this version of S60). It is called S60 5th Edition and, amongst other differences it is a touch screen OS while 3rd edition is not. 3rd party developers have been slow at updating their apps. I think this will change as the N97 becomes available, but you need to check carefully that an S60 app lists the 5800 as a device it is compatible with.

There is a beta version available, but it's a bit flaky, so I would suggest you wait another week or two - apparently a full release version or WLM is coming soon.

Thank you so much for your answer... You cleared out a huge interrogation mark in my head, as to why if it was s60 it wasn't on the list of compatible phones :icon14:

Thx. I Installed it, but for some reason it sometimes gives me trouble when i log out, kind of like freezes the phone.😎
