N97 on PAYG - Is it possible?

I'm going to be upgrading from my N95 to this phone when it comes out, but I'm not on a contract. Instead I'm on O2 Pay and Go. I know that means I have to pay full price for the phone (which is fine, because in the long run I save more than I would on contract). However, over time I've learnt that certain ports are blocked on Pay and Go so I can't use IMAP email, for example, and have to use POP3 instead.

Now with the introduction of widgets on the main screen of the N97 (facebook, myspace, newsfeeds, weather, etc) it makes me wonder: do these use a standard web connection on port 80 to gather their information? If not, does anyone know if the port they use is blocked on Pre-pay?

Thanks in advance.

From what I've seen of widget development they're port 80 or occasionally SSL if specified since they're basically running HTML & JavaScript...
