i8910 - Decent Media Manager?

Have had the i8910 for a week now and am very impressed, however there doesn't seem to be any decent media management application on there. If you go to the Media Album and select "Images and Videos", it just puts everything into the one view...this includes all videos, Orange pictures, photos, wallpapers even album art. The videos just appear as generic, unlabelled icons... 😞

Samsung are billing this a media phone...so where's the decent media apps? With 16gb of storage at my disposal, I've put on tons of photographs, tv episodes, movies, mp3s etc...and they seem to be mostly consumed by this one generic "Images and Videos" and impossible to browse through.

Currently just using the File explorer to find stuff, but this is a totally impractical and IMHO backwards method.

Am hoping I've just missed something; otherwise, does anyone know of any decent media management apps that I can download?

Many thanks!
Gareth

I agree with all your comments, but I have no solution for you as yet. I am still learning Symbian with this mobile... fantastic as it is, there are a lot of rough edges!

First thing to say : I don't own a Samsung 8910i , but a Nokia S60v3 phone . Anyway in this Softwareversion there is Gallery , must be simular to Media Album .
Normally in Gallery there is a mass of unsorted files . To sort the files you can make Folders and pass the wanted files into the Folder .
Something like this should be possible in S60v5 .
When this works OK , it's recommended to make also Folders in FileManager with the same name , so you know where they are stored .
There is another tricky thing (in case of result) : make folders in Filemanager first , and then in Media Album .
It's otherwise annoying : when you sort out mediafiles in Filemanager folders , after Media Album , all the files will be thrown out of the Media Album Folders . This means once more sorting out in Media Album .

Hope it works , 😊 Regards jApi NL
