If the move msgs option is not being displayed, Nokia must have removed it.
I assume there is no option within PC Suite on your PC to backup/restore/move SMS messages?
same problem with a friend of mine. she set the sms saving to memory card. but when she clicked the msgs in the inbox, sent messages, it wont open.. we already tried restarting the phone, reinserting the memory card, formatted... still same problem. but when set to phone memory the sms can be opened..
S60 has the obstinate specification of allowing (only ! ) 999 SMS messages to keep in storage . You can , however , multiply this to another 999 messages .
The messages are stored in a HIDDEN folder in C: (the device memory) by default . When you are reaching the 999 limit , go to Messaging > Options > Settings > Others > Used Memory , and set it to MemoryCard (= E: ) for another 999 messages .
To be able to view all the messages , sadly you need this Used Memory setting again .
When you have a PrinterOption , you can store messages as a Printout : this is not recommend , since this uses a lot of Memory .
I don't know , but I suppose there is a workaround in PCSuite on your computer .
Because I don't use SMS a lot , my settings for Messaging is on MemoryCard anyway , to save DeviceMemory .
