No Route66 Satnav on 5800 ?

I noticed on the Omnia HD forum here that Route 66 is now available to download for Omnia HD users (it's containing in SamsungLBS.zip on http://preview.tinyurl.com/odp7hm) but when I emailed 66.com to ask when it would be released for the 5800 and N97 I got the reply that they had no further information.

Why ?!?

A Symbian v5 version has obviously been written, so why won't Route66 sell me a copy for my 5800 ? It's truly bizarre.

Thought it's not like many of the other players in the market are much better:
TomTom have recently officially released v7 for Windows Mobile devices but said they had no plans for a Symbian version.
CoPilot support Symbian v3 but won't say a word about v5.
iGo have said they have no interest outside the Windows Mobile and OEM markets.

So we're left with a choice between Nokia Maps, Garmin XT (with pot luck on what maps you get) and possibly McGuider (has anyone actually tried the latest version to see if it does work on the 5800)

Satnav was one of the killer apps that first won me over to Symbian but as things stand I'm fact running out of options for it 😞
