Realone player

Have you typed in your URL in correct form? I have played many streams and typed URLs as follows:

rtsp://your.realone.server.com/stream.rm

Note specifically the protocol RTSP which should usually be typed as above.

I presume you are certain you have correct Internet GPRS settings configured in your 7650?

Any more on the configuration settings,connects up to a point but then says 'could not connect to server'.is streaming supported by o2,or are the settings wrong?

Davetherave are you in the UK?
Streaming on Realone does not work in the UK.
The networks are blocking the protacol the real uses as it eats their bandwidth and they are not up to the job of these heavy demands.
Even Real player on the 3650 does not work.

We had a meeting about 4 months ago with real to become a UK content partner for streaming videos - turns out the deal with Nokia and Real was done in the US and software developed in the US - a very embarassed RealUK had to admit that their software does not actually stream on UK networks.

For UK networks you need to use Oplayo, but obviously oplayo will not play real videos and visa-versa.

We are hopeing RealUK would have sorted their problem out by the time the 3650 launches but they have gone very quiet on us and our test 3650's are still not streaming...

Unless someone has an update???

Im in ireland but i spoke to a tech in o2 and he said he tried the streaming and it works, so im lost at this stage!

I used the url that ebo posted and the one from the real.com web site and still 'cannot connect to server'keeps coming up,what settings are needed in the real one player,in the settings menu? have you a url that i can try,or where can i find url's?

Errr - I think you'll find the one that ebo posted was NOT a real url, just an example for you to see how it is structured!

I'll try to get our test files FTP'd back up tomorrow as we took it all down a couple of months back when real said it will not work.

I'll do a search - bound to be some, have you tried going to http://www.real.com/7650 from your WAP browser.
All the links are audio only from what I can see.
When you click them - realplayer should automatically launch and play them - They still don't work for me on GPRS, they will work over dialup but at 9.6k it is too slow to stream. So I still say that the networks are blocking the packets on GPRS.

Thanks for your help,i had got a few addresses for video and audio streams from a web site,they dont seem to work,tried the real.com wap site and clicked on a few and still no joy,then i clicked on vatican radio,just thinking (please god)and it went about connecting and then server timeout pops up,think i'll just take it off,taking up too much memory.
