Help - can't delete corrupted photo and video thumbnails

2 replies · 8,904 views · Started 05 June 2009

Hello,

I have nine video and photo thumbnails in the phone memory that I can't delete. I get this message: General - System error. I tried hard reset, upgraded again to the most recente firmware (did that 3 times), check the folders in search of files (there aren't any) and i still get those corrupted photo and video files...

I'm not using the 4GB memory card - I use an older 2GB card.

Any thoughts?

Hi ! Normaly thumbnails are connected to the file : the thumbnails are listed in the folder Images and Video , but HIDDEN !
There are some (free) third party Applications (Google for) : Y-Browser , X-Plore and/or ActiveFile , that can make these hidden files visible . Then you could try to delete them .
When this doesn't work , a hard reset should do the job . Read this thread : http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/81021/&highlight=VDG
I hope you will get rid of the annoying thumbnails ....

Thank you very much! The Vulcan Death Grip did it 😊
