Hi there people, my speed dial was working great on the N96 until I updated the firmware to v20. Now you save a number in speed dial, come out and go back and it�s gone!
Has anyone had any problems with storing there answering machine quick dial number ?
Regardless of me putting in a number manually into the call mailbox or choosing the answering machine number from my phone its does save it. But when I go to use it, it asks for my answering machine number again!
I installed the v20 yesterday and had the same problem.
I changed the number to just the 07.............. instead of +44 and it seems to be working okay so far.

Speed dial worked fine with me on V20 (T-Mobile UK variant). I am now on V21 and it still works OK.
However, did you perform a 'BACKUP' & 'RESTORE' before and after a FW upgrade? Although Nokia recommend this, forum users have reported all kinds of issues over the last few years.
In basic terms, restoring a backup from one FW version over a higher FW version almost always causes some problems. It is much worse if the FW was de-branded at the same time.
If you did a restore after a FW upgrade, unfortunately you will have to format the internal memory (*#7370#) to fix any problems this caused.
P.S. I beleive it is possible (and safe) to only restore parts of the backup file - e.g. Contacts & Calendar entries.
