I used to be a frequent poster on the nokia n80 forums, just bought my new N85 and have a few problems. Is there a way, when closing the screen down and keylock activating, to not have the screen turn off?. Also my GPS doesnt seem to work, although i havent tried it outside, does anybody have it working good inside?.

What makes you think GPS should work indoors?
GPS (like all satellite based devices) requires a clear line-of-sight to the sky from the antennae.

N85 GPS works great indoors, but you MUST have Assisted GPS enabled for it to get a lock fairly quickly.

But why not just step outside and try to get a lock to test it first??

Well i tried the gps ouside today it worked great, didn't try it yesterday outside because it was raining the whole day. Another question does anybody else's top keymat feel really cheap and flimsy?. I saw a few youtube videos of people gluing their keymat. I guess ill do that some other time when it gets really loose.

Assisted GPS (A-GPS) will help with indoor GPS use, but you would still need the antenae pointing towards a window etc.

Network GPS Assist may work indoors even when not close to a window.

I have always found A-GPS with the handset sitting on a window ledge works great if the weather's stopping you going outside.
