E71 Mail for Exchange. Sync settings wrong. Possible battery drain

Wonder if you can help. I installed mail for exchange to find the battery life dropped like a stone.

Found some log files thats looks like the software was looking to sync every 30 minutes even if it was set to manual. So I change the settings to every 12 hours, so find it now syncs every 30 minutes and collects mail.

I only want it to sync the calender, but need email on demand hence the settings.

I have updated to the latest mail for exchange.

Any ideas?

did you install the 2.7 version that was packaged with the handset or the 2.9 version thats out now?

I have my MfE to run all day syncing everything and have no issues with battery life.

Still downloading emails when sync is set to manual every 15 minutes..sometimes every 5.. Maybe a server setting?

Anyone else?
