Car charger — Samsung S60 5.0 phones - Omnia HD (I8910)

The i8910 just recently arrived here in Sweden, but the accessories are lagging behind big time (as with the original Omnia).

Anyone have any hints on a car charger or solution that will work with the i8910?

The travel charger outputs 5v 0.7 amps. If the Samsung original accessory isn't available, I may try to find a USB charger with those specs and use the cable that came with the phone.

By the way, I haven't dared to try, but is our USB input port a universal mini-USB or is the end on the phone proprietary?

I never handle an Omnia HD, but on specifications list, says it have an "micro" USB port, not "mini" USB...

Right you are, my bad. Turns out the i8910 uses the same charger pair as the Innov8 (i8510). In terms of the car charger, it's part CAD300UBEC/STD.

Not only that but the micro usb port is the agreed standard for all European phones as of now. There should be no problems in the future to find cables chargers e.t.c. I have a nokia usb cable that works fine with the Omnia hd
