Is it just me or do all our 5800's sometimes give us a blank screen, but the three buttons on teh bottom and the media shortcut key alight? It normally happens after a phone call or playing music for a while. Touch screen is unresponsive, pressing the buttons are unresponsive, the lock slider key doesn't work... seems like the only way you can use the thing, is if you replace the battery?
Tell me i'm not the only one hahaha.

It doesn't happen on my 5800, and I have used both V20 and V21 firmware.
What's your firmware level? (Type *#0000# in the dialler and post the result here).
I have V20.0.012! .... omg i dont have hte new firmware. i always thought i ahd V21 >___>

V21 may not have been approved by your mobile Network.
If NSU does not show V21 as available you would have to risk de-branding (and invalidating your warranty).

Assuming you want to de-brand, use one of the Euro-1 codes (you are in Europe, yes?)

Hmm, alright, so i found hte product code to debrand my phone... i live in Australia, so yeah, the operator code given is:

What do I do with this? How do i proceed to debranding my phone?

Yes, V21 is the most recent 5800XM Firmware.
Hahaha, but it still managed to freeze after a phone call today. Ahh, I guess it's some incompatibility between some of my apps. Or my carrier's firmware version is dodgy. Oh well.

Or... shock horror... your handset may have an intermittent hardware fault.
If you have not de-branded the firmware, I would recommend to get it checked/repaired under warranty.
