Update issue Dutch Vodafone N96

Hi all,

I am trying to update my Dutch Vodafone branded N96 with PC 0572764.
I have changed the PC to all 3 euro ones and found the 20.050 firmware.
When download is complete, the install hangs at around 12% because of a disconnect from the phone (and the application quits the update, so not a complete freeze).
I am running Windows 7 build 7100 with full admin rights so that shouldn't be the issue as everything goes as it should untill the final installation.

Any tips or/and tricks would be very welcome.

Thanks in advance

I had the same problem - NSU is not compatible with Windows 7 RC. Unfortunately lots of application vendors are not releasing patches for W7 until Microsoft officially launches a retail build in October.

In the meantime, if you can't get access to a Vista or XP PC, you can run an XP Virtual Machine with VMware Workstation v6. (You cannot use MS Virtual PC due to lack of USB support).
As VMware Workstation supports virtual USB ports, it works fine with NSU and Nokia Phoneix Service tool, and I have successfully performed a FW upgrade that way.

Hope this info helps.
