Facebook widget wall problems

Facebook widget connects just fine and displays things rather nicely.

BUT when I go to type something on my "Wall", the top row of the keyboard defaults to numeric and if you use the shift to override the numeric, it gives you capital letters only.

Pressing and holding the shift, sym or (arrow) keys don't lock the keyboard into the desired alphabetic lower case (abc) configuration.

I think this qualifies as a *BUG*!!!

This has happened to me numerous times; so many in fact that i have lost count and it is a MAJOR bug in the phone that Nokia dubbed "The Facebook Phone." While we are on this topic too, for a device that is touted as more of a social phone or facebook phone why is there such poor integration with only responding to your friend's status updates? Also why no chat functionality?

To be honest i feel very let down by the facebook app on the N97. I'd give it a B if there was no typing bug, but as of right now i give it a C.

I read the manual for the N97 (courtesy of Nokia's N97 support page) and if I remember correctly you have to double press the diagonal orange key to make it stick/unstick to these characters.

Might take me a while to find it again to make sure, so I think it'd be faster if you tried it instead 😊

So far the SHIFT and DIAGONAL (is that what we're going to call it?) key are "sticky" shift in most applications. That is you tap them once and they'll hold state for one subsequent keypress.

Before I realized this I was holding down the DIAGONAL and SHIFT keys while typing which required setting the phone down on a hard surface.

Now I can work quite well with my thumbs using the sticky feature.

I tried the double tap of the diagonal key and it seems to work. I now have been able to write on my Facebook Wall using the lower case letters on the top row of the keyboard.

Another application setup down--umpteen more to go!
