discovering running processes

Hi all,

My n93 must have hidden running processes that are using ram and energy.
Free memory is 11 - 12 MB out of 52 MB; sure, i have installed several utilities last months, but the only ones that should be running at boot are 'phone shortcuts' and 'cpu monitor'.
'memory details' reports that about 17 MB are in use, 9 of which are assigned to 'applications'.
I am wondering how to set those 'applications' apart and where are those missing 20+ MB.

Moreover, recharging lasts forever, suggesting that cpu consuming applications are running.

Any help?
Thank you
