Hi

I am trying to update Nokia N96 firmware from nokia.com but every time i tries to update it gives me error. I believe that cell phone came with T mobile firmware. any idea how to update the firmware from nokia's website.

EDIT: i am noob when it comes to technology but i believe that what i really need is to debrand my n96... so please help me

You can use Nokia Software Updater on your Computer . Also use Nokia PCSuite to keep all your data complete .
When you get an update error , it will be that it is a T-Moile branded Phone . The Productcode is the key .
In case you like to UNbrand it you can use Nemisis on your computer .
But : Phone warranty expires !
Here is the sticky link about productcodes :

Otherwise you have to wait a bit until T-Mobile has the new version ready .

😊 Regards jApi NL

I am using this phone in Pakistan and in my country we don't have T mobile service and i don't have any warranty so i think debraning it won't do any harm 😊 i have absolutely no idea what to do.. so guide me please

If using NSU, always disable your PC firewall program during the upgrade.
