Web Browser Bookmark editing?

I was trying to get to one of the Bookmarks that my N97 NAM saved for me upon setting it up with AT&T.

The bookmark didn't seem to work, so I tried to determine just where the boomark was trying to go (i.e. look at the URL).

Surprisingly I could not find a place where you can look at, let alone edit, a saved bookmark.

If you cannot tell the URL of the page you are on, how can you tell that you're not on some spoofed site?!?

Does anyone know how to display the URL of the bookmarks?

If the bookmark fails you can't even do Options->Display Options->Page Info to view the URL.

Highlight the bookmark you are interested in then Options\Bookmark Manager\Edit.

It's possible for network operators to 'hard code' some bookmarks into the phone when they are customising firmware. If this is the case you usually cannot edit or delete these bookmarks.

If the bookmark has a yellow tag (mine is "o2 - uk"😉 then it is an operator one which can't be edited in the browser bookmark manager.

If the bookmark has a green tag then it is a user one which can be edited as detailed above.

Interestingly the operator bookmark never used to work on my old Nokia Nseries phone, despite the phone being able to use the web fine. On my N97 the very same bookmark going to the same URL works fine.

Turns out the AT&T bookmark was a "yellow" one pointing the other direction from the green bookmarks.

It did not have an EDIT selection from the OPTIONS->Manage Bookmarks.

It returned a GATEWAY ERROR whenever I'd try to select it.

So...I deleted it.
